Over Thanksgiving I wanted to add a little holiday cheer to our photos. Photo booth props added some holiday fun to our snapshot portraits.
This isn’t so much of a tutorial, since there are plenty of other sites that can give you the 411. I’m sharing free clip art I sources used to make our holiday photos more playful.
But if you’re looking for a simple tutorial, check out the materials needed.
Wooden Dowels (available at your local craft stores\)
Aleene’s Tacky Glue
White Card Stock Paper
Tape (if needed)
Brush/sponge and foam board (Optional – to make your props more sturdy)
Step 1. Print photo booth props on card stock paper.

Step 2. Cut out props.
Optional: Before cutting out photo booth prop designs, glue with brush to sandwich card stock paper to foam board.
Then cut to give props a more sturdy feel.
Step 3. Glue wooden dowel to prop.
Step 4. Voila! Project Complete!
You have your own American holiday photo booth props!
You can make several to celebrate Movember, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or go retro cool with black framed glasses or wear hot lips!
Thanks to free clip art, your imagination can let your imagination go wild. I’m thinking there are plenty of other fun photo booth props one could make for other cultural holidays. If you think of one, let me know, and I’d love to make some and share it on Hometown Betty.
