Today is Day 3 of a 30 Day Challenge – NaBloPoMo!
What is NaBloPoMo?
It stands for National Blog Posting Month. Coinciding with National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), NabloPoMo encourages bloggers to post new content everyday. The idea is to get into the discipline and habit of “writing with a clear end-goal in place.”
I must be crazy to commit to such a goal, but here I am. I joined BlogHer’s NaBloPoMo, so it’ll be a great way to connect with other BlogHer bloggers, which I am thrilled to learn along with them.
The challenge will be post something meaningful everyday (except Saturdays and Sundays). I want to be upfront and say that taking Saturday and Sunday off will help me keep my sanity. Wisegeek says that most bloggers will drop from their NaBloPoMo commitment within a few weeks. My hope is that I’ll find inspiration from other bloggers and appreciate the blogging process.
What does this mean for you?
You’ll get to see a few more posts on Hometown Betty. Although I’ll be taking a short break from sharing tutorials, I’ll still have a few more Star Wars party posts to share. I’ve already scheduled some posts from my digital photography assignments, which I’ve been furiously working on since September. I’ll also be posting things I’ve learned from the course and things I’m thankful for. After all, Thanksgiving is this month. There are always plenty to be thankful for.
So I say, “Won’t you read, write, or share along with me?”
From my hometown to yours,
