We have this beautiful Pottery Barn Kids Anywhere Chair in Grass Green.
It’s circa 2008. It was a lovely Dohl gift from one Piano Man’s uncles in Ann Arbor.

But it’s getting old.
And that’s no fun when your little one is reading so low that his rear end practically touches the floor.
Thus, I was on the hunt to re-cushion that old Pottery Barn Kids Anywhere Chair.
I pulled out said smooshy cushion and made some general measurements.
Now, when I went to Jo-Ann Fabrics, I found foam pieces in various sizes. Some were two inches, three, four, and even five inches thick.
But the prices were insane!
When I made my measurements at home, I estimated the dimensions of the base of the anywhere chair to be:
25″ x 15.5″ x 7″
But when I got to Jo-Anns, the sales associate recommended that I go with 4 inch foam and to cut my piece to 28″, and then divide the foam in half.
That meant my new dimensions would be:
25″ x 14″ x 8″
I was a little worried at first. However, I brought the flattened cushion and had her measure the cushion. And when she confirmed that buying .778 yards of 4 inch foam would work well to re-cushion the Pottery Barn Kids Chair, I was thrilled.
But now about the price.
Luckily, I had a Jo-Ann Fabrics coupon on my hand dandy mobile smart phone for a 50% any regular-priced item in store. (Note: Foam is not considered fabric, so be sure to have the correct coupon before buying the cut of foam you need.)
Thus for $25, I was able to bring new life into that old Pottery Barn Kids Anywhere Chair.
But I do wonder if Piano Man is getting a bit too big for that chair….
Oh well. He still enjoys sitting on this PBK Anywhere Chair and reading Half Upon a Time, 39 Clues, and Geronimo Stilton books.
