It was a dark and stormy night. I poked and prodded my fingers, burned them with hot glue, and ended up with blood shot eyes perfect for a scary Halloween costume – the scariest Halloween costume of all time – tired and cranky mama monster! Ahhh!!!!
Last night was a dark and stormy night. I did poke and prod my fingers until they turned blistery and red, and there were some frustrating moments with my sewing machine. However, I am about 97% done with the boys’ Halloween costumes. I have to sew an inner lining to their Laval and Leonidas hats, and they will be ready to go for tonight’s festivities.
But for now, here are some photos for your enjoyment.

Some of you may be wondering why Leonidas has a chest plate, when it is not featured on the LEGO minifigure. But if you know anything about siblings, when you make one for one kid, you gotta make the same thing for the other (all within reason, of course).

The boys were going for a shock and awe look. I’ll have more about how our Halloween night went next week, featuring a photo of our entire get up and gear in one hopefully beautiful family photo. In the meantime, enjoy your Halloween. Have a safe and fun-filled weekend!
