Good afternoon, everyone! I know, I know. I said I was going to take some time off from blogging, but perhaps one never truly takes time off from blogging, just time off from posting. In any case, I have some fantastic new developments on my former blog, The Seoul of Cyprus. I received my first guest post from Catherine Lavinia about traveling to Cyprus via Thomas Cook, a UK travel website.
Then I received an email about a nomination for the expatsblog.com Top Blog Award. I was totally surprised!!!!! The Seoul of Cyprus was where my love for blogging began. I learned so much about blogging, and I know I have much more to learn in the coming year.
I spent the last several months trying to figure out how to readjust to life in the States and change my focus on the blog. There have been some ups and downs, but the thing about Hometown Betty is that it’s a place where I wanted to continue on the path towards learning about other cultures while incorporating that into handmade goods or sharing personal reflections through the process. I’ve forgotten the goal of the blog, and now with some clarity and focus, I hope to return towards that goal.
If you’re still interested in reading about life in Cyprus, I have more exciting news. Some friends of ours are starting a new blog, The Ginting’s Open Door. They’ll share their adventures in and outside of Cyprus from an Indonesian perspective.
