Have you ever collected a ton of paint chip cards? And you’re wondering what to do with them?
Why not make a paper bead backdrop?
paint chip cards
Aleene’s Tacky Glue
3M Command Hooks
Step 1. Collect paint chip cards.
Step 2. Cut long triangular strips.
Step 3. Glue strips into beads.
This is the most time consuming part.
Step 4. Organize beads by color.
Step 5. Thread paper beads through string.
In my case, I had white curling ribbon on hand, and I used it to thread paper beads.
Step 6. Tie stringed paper beads to wooden dowel.
Hang wooden dowel using 3M Command Hooks at desired height.
Step 7. Voila! Project complete!
You have a nice decorative backdrop for photos or decoration.
I’ve made paper beads with magazine pages, but I think it looks better when colors are more uniform. However, I must say that gluing magazine strips was much faster and easier.
