Last February I joined a fantastic social media campaign to share more stories about women and their personal stories from around the globe. I touted and shared several inspiring articles that taught me (and I hope you) about our global world and the diversity that we live and work in.
Sometimes sharing some of PRI’s stories were difficult, as a few were controversial and may not have been to everyone’s liking. As I continued reading articles, I became more interested in articles about female artists and photographers because my interests leaned in that direction. Additionally, I wanted to try my own hand at writing local stories about my hometown of Grand Rapids, meeting women and sharing their personal adventures. But that project fell flat as I dived further into exploring the world of analogue photography.
Well, unbeknownst to PRI, SheKnows, and BlogHer, this free campaign became a huge success! Female bloggers connected more online and shared these incredible stories with one another and with their readers. The campaign did so well that they have decided to continue with this project into phase II, which begins now and ends in December.
So I’ve signed up, renewed and refreshed. I’m looking forward to reading excellent stories and sharing them with you. I hope you come along for the ride.
Have a lovely weekend!
From my hometown to yours,
